Mabel was born in Annino, Russia, a small town outside of St. Petersburg, to a travelling Elven Bard from London, England and a Human Painter from St. Petersburg. While travelling, her father, Zordlon, fell in love with the human painter, Anna Feldberg. They lived together for 5 months before Zordlon had to leave. Mabel was born a half-elf. Growing up, she was told many stories about her father and all of his adventures before he met her mother. It was all she and her mom had of her dad. When Mabel was able to speak and write, she would make up elaborate stories to coincide with her mother’s beautiful painting of the beautiful scenery of Russia. Mabel eventually started making up stories without the visual aid and would constantly recite them to her mother.
When she was old enough, her mother made her go to school. She had no interest in school, except for the creative writing classes they had to take; it’s what motivated her to go to school at all. Having her half-elven blood kept a secret, the kids would make fun of her pointy ears and her larger stature all throughout school until she graduated. Right after school, she was offered to work at the town’s local church as the scribe’s apprentice. Everyone at the church was impressed with this young woman’s abilities. In a year, she had become the head scribe of the church, in charge of all of the sacred texts and scrolls the church’s scribes copy and making books with her own renditions of the biblical stories, which were respected in the area. After 5 years of working as the church’s scribe, along with some other jobs copying old texts and keeping judicial and historical records not only in her town, but in surrounding towns including St. Petersburg, she quit and left to pursue her dream of becoming a Bard like her father.
Not long after she left, she had a run in with a travelling elven bard who went by the name of Zo. He agreed to take her in and teach her all he knew. He was impresses with her accomplishments and her abilities in storytelling and book making. In just three years, Mabel was a well-known Bard in almost all of Europe, including Russia, England, Germany, France, and even some countries in the middle east, and a skilled fighter and spellcaster, all while continuously keeping in touch with her mother. While in Munich, Germany, the inn they were staying in caught on fire. Mabel and Zo helped out everyone in the Inn, but Zo got trapped and forced Mabel to leave. The burning building collapsed on top of him, but the residence were safe. It was only fairly recently that Mabel found out that that elven bard was her father. After a night of mourning and congratulations, she left Munich and continued to tell stories all across Europe in Zo’s honor and for herself.
Now, two years later, she travels west to share more stories, write more books, and do whatever it takes to make her father proud.
